What Are Some Good Programs That Are Free That I Could Use For My Small Business Accounting?

i need a program that will do inventory, bills, etc. the program needs to be safe so i wont be getting my computer messed up- any ideas?

    Theres no free lunch. Quickbooks is probably what you need, but it’s not free.
    To other answerers: Excel isn’t free, either. Open Office is, but the stuff it generates isn’t compatible with what most folks use, Excel and Quickbooks. Your accountant if you have or are getting one will want your info in Quickbooks format most likely.

    There is a free downloadable office program at http://www.openoffice.org. I have used it and so have lots of others. I have never had any problems nor heard of anyone who has with this program. It is very safe to download. Hope this helps!
