Some &quot;huge&quot; problems can be solved quickly and easily at little cost, such as filling out a missing Schedule D for stock sales.  That can turn a whopper of a tax assessment into a modest refund in 45 minutes or less.
Others have no easy solution, like the elderly woman who deeded her home worth millions to her worthless son who sold it and ran 1/3 of the proceeds up his nose 1/3 across the gambling tables in Vegas, and the final 1/3 on Vegas call girls.  We finally got a 7-figure gift tax bill settled for $300 but it took 2 years.  Still working on the son&#039;s capital gains bill, nearly as large as his mother&#039;s gift tax bill.</description>
